Flip that breaker to the Off position and wait at least 1-2 minutes before switching it back on. That pause is key – it gives the dishwasher’s control board time to reset and clear out any lingering errors. If you flip the breaker back on too quickly, the glitch that caused the problem in the first place might still be hanging around.
Once you’ve let it sit for a minute or two, firmly switch the breaker back to the On position and head back to your kitchen. In most cases, the dishwasher lights should flicker back on, showing that the system has successfully rebooted.
