Making DIY key storage look intentional
Triocean/Getty Images The DIY process is super simple. Just take an old picture frame or grab a cheap one from the Dollar Tree, then pop open the hooks that hold the back board in place. Take out the board and use it as a template to cut a piece of foam board the same size. Drape your fabric over the foam board, leaving about a quarter-inch on all sides, then glue it down. Slip the fabric-covered foam board back into the frame, replace the original back board, and snap the hooks back into place. All that’s left is to add your push pin hooks wherever you want them, either randomly for a dynamic look or evenly spaced for something more streamlined.
