Those swimsuits, sun hats, and flip-flops only come out a few times a year, but they take up a ton of space. A “vacation box” is the perfect solution – just stash all those seasonal items in one spot, so your everyday clothes have room to breathe.

Packing a vacation box is easy. Grab a plastic bin (plastic is better than cardboard, so it’s easy to clean if needed). Then, wash all your vacation stuff as soon as you get home, and neatly pack it away. You can even use drawer dividers to keep everything separated. Once it’s all packed up, tuck the box somewhere out of the way, like under the bed or in a storage ottoman. That way, you can easily find your vacation gear when you need it, without it cluttering up your closet.
