Bring Amaryllis Flowers Indoors for Pretty Blossoms -

These tropical flowers with their big, showy blooms make such a stunning addition to any home. Even though amaryllis are native to warm climates, you can definitely get them to bloom beautifully indoors if you put them in the right spot.

To keep your amaryllis happy and flowering, you’ll want to give it plenty of warmth. These guys thrive in temps between 65 and 75 degrees, so make sure to bring them inside if you have them out on the patio. And pick a bright, sunny spot away from drafts to let that bloom shine.

Just remember, the plant and bulb can be toxic to pets, so be careful to keep it out of reach of any curious cats or dogs. You don’t want them getting sick from chewing on those beautiful blooms!

When it comes to getting your amaryllis to bloom its best, warmth is key. Aim to keep that bulb toasty in temps between 65 and 75 degrees – you can even bring potted ones inside when it gets chilly outside to keep them happy.

And be sure to give your amaryllis plenty of bright, indirect sunlight. A south-facing window is perfect, just make sure to rotate the pot daily to keep the stems growing straight. You can even use some stakes to gently support the plant as it gets taller.

Once the flowers open up, you’ll want to move the plant to a slightly cooler spot, around 70 degrees, to help the blooms last longer. And if you time things right, you can even get your amaryllis to flower during the winter months – just plant the bulb and keep it in a sunny spot with that ideal temperature range.
