Don’t place it near curtains or anything else that could catch fire. Avoid areas near wiring or electrical equipment too, like outlets and light switches. And definitely don’t mount it on wallpaper, since the heat from the flame could easily cause a fire even without direct contact.
Another key factor is height. You wouldn’t want the candle to get knocked over as you’re drying off, nor should it be within reach of curious pets or kids.
